Fair questions. Here's the honest version of all six.
Is this a retinol product?
No. There's no retinol or retinoid in either Lumina product. Bakuchiol and Bidens pilosa are plant compounds that work toward similar results by a different route. If retinol is what your skin wants and tolerates, this isn't that.
My skin reacts to everything. Will it react to this?
I can't promise it won't, and anyone who does is guessing. What I can tell you is what's on record. Lumina Sérum is dermatologically tested. Both Lumina products are formulated for all skin types. Every allergen in them is listed on this site before you buy.
Patch test first. Inner arm, a few days, before it goes anywhere near your face.
Is there fragrance in it?
Both Lumina products carry a rose-geranium note. In the sérum that means geraniol, citronellol, linalool and geranyl acetate. In the moisturizer, geraniol, citronellol, linalool and citral. All of them come from natural essential oils, and they're listed here so you can check before you buy rather than find out afterwards.
Plant-based usually means it doesn't do much.
That reputation is earned. A lot of clean formulas are short ingredient lists that feel nice for an hour. Lumina Sérum is nineteen ingredients, six of them seed oils, built around bakuchiol. Minimal was never the point.
Do I need all four, or is the Duo enough?
It's enough to start with. Those two do the active work. Use them after whatever cleanse you already trust, and add Flor de Tila and Seda when you want the full ritual.
Flor de Tila and Seda are the cleanse steps, and they're not interchangeable. Flor de Tila is made for oily and normal skin. Seda is made for normal and mature skin.
How long before I notice anything?
Weeks, not days. The consumer testing behind these base formulas ran over eight weeks, and that's a fair thing to expect of yourself too. Skin turns over on its own schedule.
Anything promising overnight is selling you something other than skincare.
